PALAWAN PHILIPPINES 2015
(Puerto Princesa-El Nido-Coron)
Philippines is so rich with beautiful islands and beaches and one of them is Palawan. Palawan is the perfect place to connect with nature and escape all the hassle and bustle of the city life.
(Underground River in Puerto Princessa Palawan)
To kick off our palawan tour, we started with the famous underground river or also called The Puerto Princessa Subterranean River National Park. This is famous due to its beauty and of course, it was also proclaimed as part of the New Seven Wonders of the world. To reach this place you will still need to cross the sea and ride a small boat about 30-45 minutes. Reaching the island, monkeys of different sizes will welcome you so be careful with your things as these monkeys might grab and snatch them away from you
Entering the underground river, you will still need to transfer to a small pump boat. So, this is our group as we're about to enter the underground river. The tour inside the cave will take about 30 to 45 minutes.
Some of the many formations found inside the underground river. They call this formation as the "Belen". A tour guide or sometimes the boat man will help you define all the formations found inside the cave.
Surviving Ugong Rock Cave
(El Nido Philippines)
El Nido is an 8-10 hours drive from puerto princessa.

On top of Mt. Tapyas CORON Palawan
Coron is the northern part of palawan. You will need to travel and ride a ferry boat for 8 hours to reach coron. If you wish to travel the same route puerto princessa-El Nido-Coron, I don't highly recommend this sequence of route especially for travelers prone to motion sickness. Honestly, I don't like the part of our 8 hours travel via boat to coron haha good thing, the weather was fine during that day. So if you wish to include the 3 places in your itinerary, I suggest that the sequence will be coron then fly to puerto princessa and take a land trip to el-nido or puerto princessa-el nido then back to puerto princessa and fly via plane to coron.
The ferry they use to transport tourist from el nido to coron is a big ferry boat with a capacity of around 80 people but it is so enclosed and non-air conditioned so if you're traveling with an infant, you might want to consider this.
ABOVE PHOTO: To reach the top of mt. tapyas you will need to endure the 700 steps. You will need to sacrifice a bit but when you reach the top, it is so rewarding! The view is so breath taking and you can see the whole island of coron.
(Fish feeding in Coron Palawan)I'll tell you more about our palawan adventure later on...Im just too excited to post the pics :) If you have questions, you can ask in advance so I can include them on my write up later on :)) tata!
